Our Programs

Rebuilding Day is a part of National Rebuilding Day that takes place annually on the last Saturday in April. Rebuilding Together affiliates and thousands of volunteers across the United States gather together to revitalize and rehabilitate homes for the low- income elderly, the physically challenged and families with children in their communities. This is the culminating event after a year of planning.

Our Home Modification Program helps with identifying the accessibility needs of the physically challenged. Installing grab bars, railings, lighting, ramps as needed to prevent unsafe situations in the home.

Our year round Emergency Program helps our qualifying seniors, the physically challenged and families with children, when an immediate safety issue arises, i.e. faulty furnaces, leaking roofs, broken water heaters etc.

For Homeowners

Our Safe at Home Program provides year-round opportunity for repairs that can’t wait until Rebuilding Day. Rebuilding Together repairs, renovates and revitalizes the homes of people, who due to age, financial limitations or physical challenges cannot do the work by themselves. The work is performed by skilled and unskilled volunteers who give their time and talents to create a warmer, safer, brighter environment. Work performed varies from house to house, depending on need. The work might include painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, weatherization, clean-up, yard work and a variety of other needed and necessary repairs.

Applicants must be low income homeowners who are elderly, physically challenged, or a family with children and reside in Rohnert Park or Cotati. Mortgage Payments, Insurance and Taxes must be current. All requested documentation must be included, when submitting the application, in order for your application to be considered.

All projects are based on need and on resources available to do the job. This includes funding and volunteers needed in order to complete the project in a timely manner.

For Non-Profit Facilities & Community Sites
